M. T. Sorrell Home

The M T Sorrell home provides group living arrangements for individuals with mental and physical disabilities. Residents are provided with training, assistance and support to enable each individual to acquire, improve or maintain their independent living skills, health status and functional skill levels to live as independently as possible within the community. These services are provided by qualified, certified and trained staff 24 hours per day. A registered nurse supervises daily routines and provides on call assistance. All services provided are individualized to each resident’s needs and preferences.

The M. T. Sorrell Home is licensed by the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse (DMHMRSA) ) as a group home with the capacity to serve 15 residents. M. T. Sorrell is also affiliated with a Local Human Rights Committee.
